Requirements for Undergraduate Minors

Minor in Computer Science

A minimum grade of C- for each minor course and a minimum GPA of 2.0 for the total minor courses is required.

Four computer science courses are required. These include:

____ C211 Introduction to Computer Science

____ C212 Introduction to Software Systems

____ C241 Elements of Discrete Structures

ONE OF: ____ C335 Computer Structures   ____ C343 Data Structures

Minor in Information Technology

A minimum grade of C- for each minor course and a minimum GPA of 2.0 for the total minor courses is required. Computer Science majors may not claim this minor.

____ , ____ C211 and C212 OR A201 and A202 (programming courses)

____ A247 Network Technologies and Administration

____ A348 Mastering the World Wide Web

Students who wish an easier introduction to programming may choose to take A112 before A201.

Minor in Business for Computer Science Majors

A minimum grade of C- for each minor course and a minimum GPA of 2.0 for the total minor courses is required.

A student meeting the requirements for a Computer Science major for the BSH, BS, BAH, or the BA can obtain a minor in business by successfully completing the Business Courses:

____ M300 (P: A200)

____ P300 (P: A200 and Computer Science C211)

____ L201

____ Z302

Students following the 94/96 Bulletin regulations should substitute F300, M300, and P300 for F301, M301, and P301, respectively, for the business minor as described in the old bulletin. Questions?
