CSG FAQ

Q: What should I do if I submit a print job and it doesn't print?

In most cases, users can get a printer restarted without systems help following the procedure detailed in the FAQ entry:
A printer has stopped printing. How do I make it start?
However, if you respool your jobs to another printer or no longer need the jobs you printed, please be sure to remove them from the print queue. If you don't, they are sure to print after the printer is restarted and will be a waste of paper and toner.

To remove your print jobs from the queue, you can use the lprm command from the command prompt from any CS Sun. You can use the '-' flag to lprm to remove all the print jobs you have queued for a specified printer. For example, to remove all your print jobs from ps14, you could run:

% lprm -Pps14 -
See the lprm man page for more information.
