June 2003 - Parasoft Programming Tools Site License

IU now has a site license for the suite of C/C++ and Java programming tools from Parasoft Corporation. The following programming tools are now available on all CS Sun and Linux systems:

  • Insure++ - An automatic run-time application testing tool that detects elusive errors such as memory corruption, memory leaks, memory allocation errors, variable initialization errors, variable definition conflicts, pointer errors, library errors, logic errors, and algorithmic errors

See the Solaris and Linux entries for Insure++ in the Software Database for more information.

  • C++Test - C++Test is a unit testing and static analysis tool that automatically tests C and C++ classes, functions, or components without requiring developers to write a single test case, harness, or stub.

See the Solaris and Linux entries for C++Test in the Software Database for more information.

  • CodeWizard - An advanced C/ C++ source code analysis tool that uses over 300 coding guidelines to automatically identify dangerous coding constructs that compilers do not detect.

See the Solaris and Linux entries for Insure++ in the Software Database for more information.

  • Jtest - Jtest is a Java unit testing and static analysis tool that automatically tests any Java class, JSP, or component without requiring you to write a single test case, harness, or stub.

See the Solaris and Linux entries for Insure++ in the Software Database for more information.
