Technical Report Download Help
The technical reports that are available electronically from
the Indiana University Computer Science Department are available
in one or more of the following formats:
- PostScript (TRnnn.ps) - PostScript is a common page description
language in the Unix and Mac worlds and tools are also available
to view and print PostScript files on Windows platforms. You will
find tools for Unix and Windows to view and print PostScript files
at the
Ghostscript, Ghostview and GSview Homepage.
If you are running Windows
GSview
is probably your best choice.
Many popular Unix variants include a PostScript viewer including
ghostscript for Linux.
- Compressed PostScript (TRnnn.ps.Z) - These are just
PostScript files that have been compressed using the standard
Unix compression utility. On any Unix variant, you can uncompress
these files using the uncompress command. On the Windows
platform, you can use
WinZip to uncompress these files. Since the compressed
versions are significantly smaller, downloading them will be
considerably faster over slow links.
- PDF (TRnnn.pdf) - PDF (Portable Document Format) files
can be viewed and printed on most popular platforms (Unix, Mac,
Windows, OS/2) using the
Free Acrobat Reader available from
Adobe Systems.
