Amanda Stephano Amanda graduated from Indiana University in May 2006 with an MS in Computer Science and an MS in Human Computer Interaction. She now works for a consulting firm in Chicago.

Diane Cessna Diane graduated with a BS in computer science in May 2007. While at IU, she was the undergraduate president of the women in computing group. Diane became interested in computers in the fifth grade when she was asked to participate in an after school program to teach elementary students computer skills, but she never considered a career in computing until after she worked as a computer support assistant during her first year of college. Diane enjoys live music, good food, coffee, quilting, movies, dancing, and spending time with loved ones.

Jacki Bauer Jacki graduated from IU in June 2006 with an MS in Human-Computer Interaction. She is an IT Analyst for the Government Accountability Office in Washington, DC. She is origninally from Woodstock, IL and has lived in Chicago, Japan and Belgium. She has always loved using computers, but didn't begin to consider a career in computing until her senior year of college when she took a research and statistics course. Her main computing interest is to learn how to use technology to help solve social problems. Her other interests are travel, camping, yoga and music.

Jennifer Franko Jennifer received her PhD in the mathematics in 2007 and she is now an assistant professor at the University of Scranton in Pennsylvania. Her current research interests include quantum computing and knot theory. She became interested in computing in high school where she worked on the yearbook and first took programming classes. She is originally from Pennsylvania and attended Indiana University of Pennsylvania (no it is not affiliated with IU). Jennifer loves spending time with her younger siblings, and enjoys reading, watching movies, and crocheting.

Katie Siek Katie is an assistant professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Colorado at Boulder. She graduated from Indiana University in July 2006 with a Ph.D. in computer science. Katie's graduate career was funded by the National Physical Science Consortium and Sandia National Laboratories/CA. Her research focuses on how to seamlessly integrate technology into groups of people who do not ordinarily use technology. A native of New York, Katie became interested in computers in the 4th grade - she wanted a piano, but her father bought a computer instead. Her father helped her create a program that made each key on the keyboard play a different sound. Soon Katie forgot about wanting a piano and started tinkering with computers. When Katie is not playing with computers, she enjoys biking, rock climbing, cooking, and yoga.

Kristy Streefkerk Kristy completed her Masters in Human Computer Interaction from the School of Informatics in May 2006. Currently, she is employed as a Usability Specialist for Riptown Media in Vancouver British Columbia. At IU, her research interests were how children interact with computers and use them for problem solving purposes. Kristy is originally from Surrey, British Columbia, Canada. She got into computing at a young age because her mother's job was in the IT industry and there were always computers around the house with different games to play. For fun Kristy enjoys hiking, camping, and playing sports. While at IU, she was a member of the Women's Water Polo team for 4 years and she was also a member of the Canadian Junior National team.

Sriram Mohan Sriram is an assistant professor at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. He graduated with a PhD in computer science in 2007 from Indiana University, where he was associated with the Database Lab. His research interests primarily center around XML with an emphasis on Conceptual Modeling, Security and Access control. He has also been involved in the development of XML database engines and XML Benchmarking. He is originally from Madras, India and completed his Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Engineering before he came to Indiana. He is a sports buff and loves football and is a big fan of the Colts. He loves to travel and tries to visit new countries at every opportunity. In his spare time he also watches soccer and supports the English Premier league club Manchester United.

Stephanie Gato Stephanie graduated from IU in December 2005 with a major in computer science and minor in mathematics. She was a founding member and served as Undergraduate President of Women in Computing(WIC) at Indiana University. Stephanie worked as an Undergraduate Instructor in the Computer Science Department for two years as well as interned at Argonne National Laboratory working with grid computing. She also worked on the Fluency Project.

Steven Bogaerts Steve completed his PhD in computer science at Indiana University in 2007. He came to IU from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in Terre Haute, IN, where he began to explore his interest in artificial intelligence. The thing that first attracted Steve to computer science is that it's not about memorization, but rather about understanding and using simple tools in new ways. In his spare time Steve is active in his church and loves to sing barbershop music with his quartet, which is currently the champion of Indiana and Kentucky.

Tiffanie Shakespeare Tiffanie graduated in May 2006 with a Masters in Human Computer Interaction. These days she lives in Portland, Oregon, and works as a UX Designer helping to design medical equipment. She has been around computers all her life because her dad is really into them. Her capstone project was on creating an online community to better help battered women. She worked with Middle Way House when she was a student at IU. She likes to read and hang out with her friends.
