In-lab Work

Your AI will provide you with a password that you will type into the Java source file you submit in lab. You will submit one file via the A112 Vincent submission system (linked from the A112 home page).

Part 1

Do exercises 8.1 and 8.3, defining an applet called MilkyWay.java. It doesn't matter where the numbers in 8.1 are printed on the applet as long as they are not on top of each other.

Part 2

Do exercise 8.4 and 8.6, defining an applet called Wall.java. Again, it does not matter where the number is displayed on the applet.

Programming Assignment

Do exercise 8.8 with the following specifics:

• Each column should be 40 pixels wide.
• Rows should be 15 pixels high.
• The applet should be 400 wide by 200 high.
• It should be possible to set the size variable in the text to any integer from 1 through 9.

Submit your MultiplicationTable.java file under Assignment 5 on using Vincent submission system. Be sure to read and carefully follow the Vincent submission instructions on the course web page.
