Here are the study guides, as we make them available:Dear A114/I111 Friends, There will be an exam in class on Tuesday October 1. The exam is open-book and open-notes and will cover the material in the first three chapters of the Pratt/Adamski book. You will be asked to write queries in SQL or using Relational Algebra. I've put together Part One of a Study Guide for the exam, on the What's New page. More such study guides are to be posted tomorrow. Please try them out and let us know if you have any questions. Tomorrow in lab you might be given an exercise in which a switchboard should be built in a database that involves the three coaches. You might also be asked to create a report, and/or a few queries, all accessible through the switchboard. I plan to reserve a room for a review on Monday evening. I will be posting this info on the What's New page and under the entry for the Midterm Exam in the Class Notes page on the web. If you have questions please let me know. If this message reaches you in error or if you have dropped the class since I last wrote please let me know and I'll remove your username from my list. Thanks a lot and all the very best to you. ... AdrianP.S. The Practical is on Friday, Oct 4. Practice with the Sample Practical Exam posted under Lab Notes 8 (Eight).
Remember that you should also work out (or review)
in both
