Please read the following from the textbook:

• 1.4 Object Types (pp. 28-33)
• 2.1 The Console Window (pp. 37-43)
• 2.2 The Drawing Window (up to 2.2.4 The Mouse)
• Also look through sections 1.3.2-1.3.5 (pp. 18-28)

Print lecture notes bring them with you to class. Think hard about the assignment also, based on last week's lab and lecture notes.

Thu Jan 20

We will be practicing with for loops, so read pages 80-83. We will also introduce a few other concepts, so printing the lecture notes and bringing them with you to class would be the best.

Tue Jan 18

Today in class we will cover pp. 9-18, and 24-27 of chapter 1, and pp. 72-76, and 79-81 of chapter 3. We skip chapter 2 for now, it will be addressed on Thursday and in the labs.

Thu Jan 13

In preparation for Thursday's lecture and labs please read chapter 0 in the book ("Welcome") completely, and look through chapter 1 ("Values, Variables, and Expressions").
