| Feb 6-Feb 8 | 5 | Install Tomcat and start Java servlets and JSP. |
| Feb 13-Feb 15 | 6 | Servlets and JSP continued. Client-side Java: applets. |
| Feb 20-Feb 22 | 7 | A simple web chat application using Java applets and Java servlets. |
| Feb 27-Mar 1 | 8 | Client-side Javascript. A shopping cart application using JS and CGI. |
| Mar 6- 8 | 9 | Mar 6: MIDTERM EXAM (in class). Wrap-up of first part of class. |
| Mar 13-15 | SPRING BREAK | |
| Mar 20-22 | 10 | mySQL database access with Java (JDBC) and Perl (DBI) |
