Bulletin description: (1 cr.) General principles of teaching and practical experiences that relate to teaching computer science. An important feature of the seminar is the micro-teaching, in which each participant prepares and delivers short lectures to the seminar participants. Each presentation is followed by critical analysis and discussion. B599 corresponds to old C599.

Grading: You will be graded A to C depending upon your progress and performance on assignements in this seminar. To view the grading policy and the breakdown of assignments, go to Grading.

Requirement: This seminar is required for all Associate Instructors who have not previously taught in the Computer Science Department and have not previously taken this seminar. Note that the first meeting happens during the orientation week.

Attendance: Due to the nature of this seminar being satisfactory/fail in its grading scheme, attendance is very important. Your participation in this class will add to the seminar's benefit to you and all your classmates! Because of this, there will be no tolerance for absences.
