C241: Past Announcements

Fall 2009

9/30/09Solutions for assignment 4 have been posted on the assignments page. Graded homework willl be returned during friday recitation at 11:15am. H241 students can pick up their graded homework at my office, LH310, on friday during H241 recitation hours (9:05am-11:00am).

9/28/09To clarify a few points: attendance won't be counted for recitation this past friday (as recitation was not held). During lecture today we'll review the material that would have been covered during recitation, and I'll be happy to answer questions about the homework. Your first midterm will be next monday, a week from today, and will cover material up to and including assignment 4. Graded homework 4 will be returned to you during recitation this friday, and Rebecca will be available then to answer any questions over it or anything else we've covered so far. Finally there was a small typo onHW4, problem 5, and a fixed version has been uploaded.

9/25/09Recitation was not held. To make up for this, your AI will hold additional office hours on Friday 09/25 from 2:30 - 6:00 in LH 310. Please stop by if you have any questions.

9/24/09Assignment 4 and solutions to assignment 3 have been posted on the assignments page. Pairwork 2 has been posted on the resources page.

9/18/09Solutions to problem set 2 have been posted to the assignments page

9/16/09: Solutions to the problems solved during lecture, including lecture notes, important pointers on truth tables, and answers to your questions have been posted on the resources page.

9/11/09: Homework 2 (due next wednesday), and Reading Assignment 2 (also due next wednesday), have both been posted on the assignments page.

9/3/09: Just a quick reminder/clarification about the friday discussion sections (recitations). The regular 11:15am recitation is required for students not enrolled in H241 (and encouraged for those who are), and it meets every week. The honors 9:05am recitation is required for H241 students, but will only be meeting infrequently to work on projects (and it will be meeting tomorrow). Both recitations occur in Informatics East (the grey stone building) in room 130.

9/2/09: Homework 1 (due next wednesday), and Reading Assignment 1 (due next monday), have both been posted on the assignments page.

8/29/07: Welcome to C241! Basic course information is below. In the tabs to the left there is an initial schedule for the class (this may change as the class progresses), a discription of all class policies, your homework assignments and solutions, and a selection useful course resources (including an introduction to LaTeX for anyone who's feeling ambitious and is interested in learning how to typeset their homework). And right here are the announcements. An announcement will be posted each time a new homework assignment or solution set goes up, and any time there is important news about the class. Old announcements will be kept under the past announcements page, for reference's sake.
