Overview
The P465-6 and P565-6 classes
(commonly known as "InfoSys") teach a disciplined approach to the design
and implementation of information systems.
The primary vehicle for really learning
this material is a full-year team project developing a
real system for a real client.
Catalog Course Description
P465-6/P565-6 Software Engineering for Information Systems I-II (3 cr.)
N&M. P: C335, C343; B461 concurrently. Analysis, design and
implementation of information systems from user needs to a running
system. Gathering and refining project specifications. Data
modeling. Software design methodologies. Software quality assurance:
testing and verification. Team development of a real system for a real
client within a carefully monitored process. Many project milestones
require substantial writing. I Sem., II Sem. Credit not given for both
P465-6 and P565-6.

the course NFS repository.

- A collection of various resources
for projects and course work, including code samples and software
documentation.
- A two year MS curriculum
specializing in information systems that fits the CS MS requirements.
Notice for 2002-2003 and following Academic Years:
Undergraduates will no longer be able to use P465 for Intensive
Writing.
