JD and Tom Go To Britain (Nov. 15, 1999)

My brother (the same guy who thinks these pages look like our Mom and Dad's old slide shows) and I went to Britain in September/October, 1999. We spent a couple of weeks there, traversing the greater part of the island from Stonehenge and Land's End to Edinburgh and the Scottish Highlands to Dover Castle. We even spent a couple of days in London and S.E. England. We missed John O' Groats, but guess you've got to leave something for the next time.

All in all, we had a good time traveling throughout the island. The people were very friendly and the beer is quite good (as expected). My one regret was that we didn't get reservations before we went. I think we spent about one whole day out of 2.5 weeks trying to find places to sleep on the fly.
