A few updates need to be done and homework assignment 5 grades need to be factored in the formula. But please check your grades as they are computed from everything except hw5. Let me know if you see any errors. You can pick up the final exam in class today.

Lecture notes will be posted after the lecture today (and before the lab). In class I will solve the review problems. In lab you are encouraged to work with all of them.

Lab notes 13 posted today turn your in-lab assignment 3 (the Mandelbrot zoomer) into an applet. Review sheet to be posted late tonight in anticipation of Monday's exam. Homework 5 finally posted. You've seen a demo of it in class on Tuesday.

Appendix to lecture notes 15 posted. I won't be able to keep my office hours today, so please e-mail me if you need any help. Today in lecture we will look at sorting methods and will solve a more general case of the homework (but of course no solution will be posted here). A very general algorithm will be discussed in class though, complete with implementation.

Lab Notes 10 posted. Use them to practice with threads if you're done with the in-lab assignment 4. Ports and host names will be distributed tomorrow, for you to practice with writing your own servers.

Midterm review notes I and II posted. They're required reading for the midterm exam. Please read them carefully and let us know if you have any questions.

No notes today and tomorrow will be posted in advance. We coverthis and super and constructor chaining today, the last of the already posted material that has not been covered in class yet, and abstract classes based on the example with Shapes, Squares, and Rectangles of yesterday.

Homework assignment will be posted on Monday. It will be based on Case Study 12.5 in the book. Next week we will be finishing off the finer points of inheritance, abstract classes and interfaces, and head for the midterm exam which is on July 20. After that we move to files, terminal I/O and networking, the AWT and a lot more data structures.
