Gisele Bennett, PhD, GTRI, Georgia Tech
Gisele is with Georgia Tech as a Professor with the School of
Electrical and Computer Engineering and the Director for the
Electro-Optical Systems Laboratory for the GT Research Institute. Her
research is broad covering optical imaging and encryption to the
development of performance support systems as applied to the
maintenance, medical, and emergency response environments.
Kay H. Connelly, PhD, SURG, Indiana University
Kay is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at Indiana
University, where she leads the Security for Ubiquitous Resources
Group. Her research is in the area of ubiquitous computing, where she
is developing a framework that relates, explains, and predicts a
variety of factors that play into user acceptance of ubiquitous
computing applications.
Gitte Lindgaard, PhD, HOTLab, Carleton University
Dr. Gitte Lindgaard heads the HOTLab as the NSERC Chair in
User-Centred Design. Her research interests are in qualitative user
experiences, human decision making, multimedia and multimodal user
interface design, learning in multimedia, user satisfaction,
aesthetics in design, and design processes.
Katie A. Siek, PhD Candidate, SURG, Indiana University
Katie is a National Physical Science Consortium fellow who is
sponsored by Sandia National Laboratories/CA. Her research interests
focus on integrating technologies in healthcare environments and
conducting user studies in non-traditional environments.
Bruce Tsuji, PhD Candidate, HOTLab, Carleton University
Bruce holds a BSc from Trent and an MA from Waterloo. He has about 25
years experience in user interface design, usability testing, product
management, sales, business development, and marketing. Bruce is a
co-inventor of a total of seven US and Canadian patents and his
products have received kudos including PC Week Labs Product of the
Year and Consumer Electronics Association Product of the Year.
