Vincent 4.0: User Flow in Vincent 4

Administrative Flow in Vincent 4

Vincent is a much simpler application in version four than in version three. There is a very simple flow that administrators will follow when using Vincent.

Course Setup

Add assistants

Upload Roster(s)

Create Assignments

Run Course

Assignment Submissions

The flow loops from the bottom back to "Run course" from any point below it. In truth, at any point a course administrator might go back to modify the course tagline (Course Setup), but there is nothing significant from an implementation standpoint that would result from such modifications.

A more detailed discussion of use patterns for version three (and how things will work in version four) can be found in the breakdown of Interfaces in version four of Vincent.

Assistant Flow in Vincent 4

Assistants have very few powers in Vincent; they can view rosters, download submitted files, and permit files for download.

Permit Files

Student Flow in Vincent 4

Students can either submit assignments, view the files they have submitted previously, or download files loaded into Vincent by the administrator.

Note that the flow in both the assistant and student world-view is nearly two-dimensional. There is very little that actually requires a process or flow from the perspective of these two classes of user.
