Future Extensions
Because of the limitation of time, many more interesting things will
probably not be possible to implement. For example, the frames could
be implemented as a complex track itself, with a hierarchy of scenes,
shots, and frames. Instead of queries only on the text, queries based
on this hierarchy could also be implemented. The implementation of the
query interface can be made intelligent enough to decide on the nature
of the query, and modify itself accordingly. For example, the query
interface could possibly differ when querying on the text track
instead of the movie track. Various enhancements to the query language
can also be implemented with sufficient time and effort.
