Email

We will be using the Shakespeare email system with the Pine software.  You may find some notes on Piine helpful.

Searching the Web

Find answers to the following questions by searching the World Wide Web; even if you know the answers, you should try to locate them on-line. Dave's General Search Engine Page provides access to several search engines. After you locate the answers, consider how you might have been able to find them more efficiently.

Email your answers to these questions to dchild@indiana.edu.

FirstClass

Login to FirstClass and post a message to the Who We Are conference for your section. The message should be some information about yourself (interests, hobbies, etc.) introducing yourself to the AIs and to your fellow classmates. In your message, you should try out some different text fonts (such as Times, Helvetica, etc.), some different colors, and some different text formatting (bold, italics, etc.)

For practice moving and copying files, download an attachment from one of the messages in the "A111 Drill Files" conference using FirstClass, and trying copying or moving these files onto your disk. Next, move or copy the file between directories on your disk.
