My group researches and provides solutions for integrating
heterogeneous, distributed information sources. These sources
usually contain information about the same real-world domain
but are commonly stored in different formats, such as plain
or formatted text,
spreadsheets, relational databases, or
according to web-related specification
standards such as XML or HTML.
We look at all aspects of information integration, but are
especially interested in the logical and formal
foundations of matching
different information representations, as well as implementing
modular solutions within this framework.
