I am interested in how the constructs of computer languages influence the types of problems we approach. I am also interested in data-driven graphics (i.e. information visualization). My work is currently focused on a domain-specific language for specifying visualizations (called Stencil). My other instersts include program execution behavior, graph analysis and understanding how people interact with software.
