The Department of Computer Science at Indiana University (IU), in collaboration with the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) and the College Board (CB), is pleased to invite you to a two-day workshop on November 11th and 12th in Bloomington, Indiana.

Our primary aim is to help high school educators learn about object-oriented programming in Java. Other objectives include:

All lesson materials will be given freely for reuse in the attendee's high school curriculum.


Special Event: Friday, November 11 at 7:30pm in Lindley Hall 102
On Friday night, Alex Suter of the Software R&D department at Industrial Light and Magic will show behind the scenes footage of various ILM movies, including War of the Worlds and Star Wars Episode 3. The talk will include the development of the War of the Worlds alien tripods, shot development on Star Wars, and the state of software development at ILM.
