I am a sixth year Ph.D. bound graduate student at Indiana University. I received my Bachelors of Arts degree in Computer Science from Earlham College in the Spring of 2003. After receiving my degree, I spent a full year teaching introductory courses in Computer Science as an Associate Instructor at both Earlham College and Indiana University East (Purdue Campus). During this time I also worked with Safe Passage Communications, Inc. as a research consultant. I started graduate school at Indiana University in the Fall of 2004. I received my Masters degree in Computer Science from Indiana University in the Spring of 2006. I work on many different projects all focusing on bridging the gap between technology and interdisciplinary research. I am currently working in the Open Systems Lab on the Open MPI project under the direction of Dr. Andrew Lumsdaine. My primary research interests focus on parallel and distributed systems, scalable fault tolerance, software engineering, and scientific computing.
