Music

Dire Straits - Making Movies is an excellent album. I've been listening to it almost nonstop for the past day and a half and I haven't gotten tired of it yet. I had heard Romeo and Juliet before, so I already knew that was a good song, but I wasn't prepared for Hand in Hand or Skateaway. I think these songs really show off how good of a songwriter Mark Knopfler was (and is).. just excellent songs in both writing and performance. I tend to have a soft spot for any bands that include pianos in rock-type songs, and this album does that superbly.

sunny

It's beautiful outside - sunny but not too hot. Really wish I was relaxing by the pool with my big chug cup full of water instead of in the office coding.

Nature

For some reason, I was just reminded out of the blue about the time we saw a Florida Softshell turtle by the side of the road in the Everglades. These turtles look really weird, it was crazy seeing something that weird looking in real life. Check out the pictures:

Been in South Bend the last day or two visiting with the family.
