Stabilizer Unit Assembly Instructions

Mini-Engine Mount/Tube Coupler

Cut a 3mm slot about 4mm from one end
of the BT-5 engine tube. Insert the
mini-engine holder into the slot in the
engine tube as a location guide, then
glue the mini-engine block into the end
of the engine tube. Let it dry.

Cut a slot on the inside of the AR520 adapter ring as wide as the mini-engine holder. Slide the adapter ring over the mini-engine holder and engine tube until it is 19mm from the end opposite the slot, then glue both sides. Glue the long AR520 adapter ring on about 4mm from the short AR520 ring. Shim the long adapter ring with masking tape if it fits too loosely.
Spread a layer of white glue on the outside of the short AR520 adapter ring, and on 10mm of the outside of the long AR520 adapter at the end nearest the short adapter. Then slide the BT-20 body tube over the adapter rings until it is about 1mm from the end of the engine tube opposite the slot (or nearest the engine holder's hook).
The exposed part of the long AR520 adapter couples the stabilizer unit to the spin unit. Do not glue the exposed part of the long AR520 adapter to the spin unit, or your model will not work! Stabilizer Fins Make two marks on the body tube of the stabilizer unit 18mm apart. This will produce an angle between the fins of approximately 100°. Glue the stabilizer fins to the body tube. Let dry.
Completed Stabilizer Unit This is the completed stabilizer unit. Don't paint it until you have given it at least one test launch.
When the glue on both the spin unit and stabilizer unit has completely dried, you are ready to connect the two units together and launch your Cyclone!
