I am a doctoral student in the Computer Science Department at Indiana University Bloomington under Dr. Dennis Gannon. Previously I have worked as a research staff member at Renaissance Computing Institute and MCNC in North Carolina. I have a Masters degree from Indiana University (2002) and a bachelor degree in computer engineering from VJTI, University of Mumbai. I am currently located in Sunnyvale, CA from where I work on my dissertation.

My primary area of interest is in distributed systems including grid computing, high performance computing and utility computing. I am interested in workflow tools, resource management, monitoring and adaptation for performance and fault tolerance. My thesis explores the multi-level adaptation techniques required in dynamic web service workflows at the application and resource management level to meet application constraints (e.g. deadline) in conjunction with resource variability - performance and availability. I am also interested in multi-disciplinary research that enable scientific and business problems to leverage distributed systems.
Projects, I collaborate with:
Linked Environments for Atmospheric Discovery(LEAD)
Virtual Grid Application Development Software (VGrADS)
Open Resource Control Architecture(ORCA)
Past projects
The Southeastern Coastal Ocean Observing and Prediction Program(SCOOP)
North Carolina Bioportal
TeraGrid Biology and Biomedicine Science Gateway
North Carolina BioGrid
Ferret Workflow Anamoly Detection
XCAT - Common Component Architecture
