Nothing too terribly interesting for the wandering web walker

Zodiac surface goes on L-counter, island, sink, and bay window surface. Tile will be used on 17" of wall between countertop and cabinets over whole of L-counter. Want max 12" curved extension on shown end of island. Want countertop surface to extend over counters by 1.5" (if that length is possible.) See below for bigger version of blueprint.

All exposed wood on cabinets to be painted the same cream color as the cabinet doors. This includes the wood behind the oven. The painted area above the rack of cabinets is to be painted a deep mauve/violet color. There's a swatch that shows the exact color. There's a swatch for the the cabinet color too. The cabinets above the fridge need to be pulled. The new fridge is too high. I'd like to install directions lights (maybe 3-4) under the cabinets in the L-area to illuminate the L-countertop. The ceiling mounted lights will stay in.

The little cubby hole for the toaster and coffee pot is to be pulled out. It'll open up the countertop and give us more surface area. Coffee pot and toaster will have to find a new home.

The island will be painted the same cream color as the cabinet doors. This old cooktop is 36" wide; the new one is 30". If one is standing in front of the island facing the fridge, with the smaller new cooktop we want to shift to the left, so that it opens up an additional 6" inches to the right of the cooktop. This is because I am right-handed, so need more room to my right when I cook. We will offset the imbalance we create by adding another 6-12 inches to the other end of the countertop. That end will curve around, almost like a mini-bar (though it'll be quite mini.)

The new stove does not have a vent. That means we're vent-less for the time being. It is also a gas stove, meaning the plumber (we've used Young) needs to run gas to the island. The gas lines are in the ceiling of the basement, are easily accessible, and run close to the island, so the cost should be reasonable.

The oven/microwave is being replaced with a similar configuration. The cabinets above the oven will likely not be disturbed. The cabinet below will likely be pulled out, but I don't know this for sure. The counter surface where the sink is will all be new surface. We bought a cast iron sink that drops below the countertop. It is in the garage. The backsplash will run along the back of the countertop. The upper countertop (where the plants sit) will be zodiac countertop too. I changed my mind on the nice tile, and decided to use it on the wall over the L-counter instead where it can be seen better. I've not ordered it yet (ran out of time.)

The walls where the windows are will be painted, but in either a lighter sage than is already there, or in a lighter mauve. Decision forthcoming. Swatch exists for that too. This color will extend down the hallway towards the garage. Means there's a color split to the right of the oven. Hope that works.

As to rest of house, hallway heading back to bedrooms is in dire need of painting. Color does not need to change.

Ceiling tiles downstairs are a mess. Need to find good match, and swap out all tiles that have water spots.
