May 16th, 2003: Letter to Senators opposing repeal of the Spratt-Furse provision

Dear Senator Lugar:
Dear Senator Bayh:

I am deeply concerned that the upcoming Senate defense authorization bill will repeal the Spratt-Furse provision banning the development of low-yield nuclear weapons. I feel very strongly that allowing the development of these "mini-nukes" works counter to the critical international goal of limiting the spread of nuclear weapons.

I urge you to vote to preserve the Spratt-Furse provision.
