Not Quite Sunset (9/22/96 and 10/27/96)
after rain, the sun
sets like a ripe basketball
in the clearest sky

rainy grey fades out
to wondrous lucidity as
sun falls through water.
--------
the sky after the rain looks like a crystal clean creek.
i'm just in awe at how CLEAR it is;
and how big the sun looks as it sets.
