Trust (9/2/03)

a fragile bridge crosses
the yawning chasm that is two
who wish to become one, sometimes.

the bridge can handle an infinite
amount of weight, but all loads
must be carried on padded wheels

if the wheels are not padded, or
harsh blows fall upon the bridge,
the bridge splinters, shatters, and scatters

building the bridge takes
sincerity, time, love, compassion, passion,
blood, sweat, toil, and occasional tears.

funny that bridges
are
horribly oblivious while upright
but
horribly obvious while downwrong.

going up from downwrong
takes all the
sincerity and humility in the world
and even then,
it's hard to rebuild
a fractured conduit between
two moving objects.
