I am a Ph.D. candidate in Computer Science under the guidance of Dr. Dennis Gannon.

My research focuses on the combination of three key technologies for large-scale distributed systems: Web services for service-oriented architecture (SOA), Publish/Subscribe messaging middleware for event-driven architecture (EDA) and Grid/Internet computing for heterogeneous resources integration. In particular, I studied efficient approaches (including mediation and abstraction) to integrate heterogeneous XML messaging systems from different organizations without losing scalability, expressiveness or security.

I am responsible for the development of a Web services-based XML publish/subscribe middleware called WS-Messenger. It is based on the WS-Eventing and WS-Notification specifications and is serving as the critical communication foundation in the 11-million-dollar LEAD project.

As a research intern in IBM T.J. Watson Research Center in the summers of 2005 and 2006, I designed a novel correlation algorithm that can automatically discover conversation patterns among asynchronous Web service messages. This algorithm is currently a pending patent.

I expect to graduate in July 2007. I am actively looking for a full-time position for innovative and marketable solutions in large-scale distributed systems. My resume is available here. Please contact me if my qualifications match your need.
