We propose that relations are represented in terms of directly
accessible relational associations which specify how objects are
related to one another in terms of object features and inter-relations
associations. In this approach, relation categories are built up from
relational feature correlations learned on the basis of relation
instances, much as object categories are built up from object feature
correlations on the basis of object instances.
