Assignment 4 (Abstract Syntax)

Due Date: February 21, 1997

To submit your assignment, run:

/cs/classes/cis461/wi97/submit files

This will copy all of the files you specify to a directory where I can get them. You can "unsubmit" any of the files:

/cs/classes/cis461/wi97/usubmit files

You can keep doing this as many times as you want as long as your final work has been submitted by the deadline.

Read Chapter 4 of Appel's book and the Appendix on the Tiger language. Do the program on page 91. Here are the supporting files as described in the book:

absyn.sml
prabsyn.sml
errormsg.sml
tiger.lex.sml
symbol.sml
sources.cm
parse.sml
tiger.grm
small.tig (A small test file that should run in the skeleton parser I gave.)
t1.tig, t2.tig, t3.tig (Bigger test files for you when you complete your parser.)

You will not need the file

base.sml

that the book mentions but you will need these two files:

table.sig
table.sml
